Hanacure vs. Biodance: I Tried the Internet’s Most Hyped Face Masks to See Which Is Worth Buying…

In the world of TikTok-viral, at-home face masks… which brand delivers results worth pursuing? I decided to find out.

I’ll Admit It: I’m a Sucker For a Good Skincare Trend.

Look, this 30-something-year-old face isn’t getting any younger. If a skincare product goes viral on TikTok for promising to tighten, lift, and leave me looking like I just stepped out of a five-star facial, I’m all in.

I’d already been using Hanacure’s TikTok-viral, at-home face mask after seeing Drew Barrymore and the Kardashians swoon over it… and the results so far have exceeded expectations. I guess Hanacure’s racked up 20,000+ rave reviews and 11+ skincare awards for a reason. So when I saw this Biodance “Real Deep” mask going viral on TikTok, I knew I had to try it out.

The Biodance mask claims to boost hydration, minimize pore size, improve skin elasticity, and strengthen the skin barrier by wearing it overnight. Hanacure’s already been my ticket to hydrated, gloriously dewy skin. Could Biodance (at a lower price) provide the same, or better, results?

Spoiler alert: not really. For all my Hanacure diehards out there, I recommend sticking to what you know. But let me explain.

I Decided to Put Hanacure and Biodance to the Test

I spent three weeks with the Biodance mask to see how it compared to my tried and true Hanacure routine. I’ll break it down by rounds: first impressions and application, results, long-term use, and price. First, I’ll share a little background on these two brands.

Hanacure

Hanacure has been around since 2017 with the mission to make skincare as simple and as effective as possible, using the highest concentrations of clinically proven ingredients to get real results, real fast. In a clinical trial, 97% of participants said their skin was tighter, firmer, and more lifted after using Hanacure’s All-In-One Facial®

Hanacure has been featured in Vogue, Elle, Cosmopolitan, Vanity Fair… even Drew Barrymore said the mask “makes you 10 years younger.” With 11+ skincare industry awards, they’ve proven that their hypoallergenic, dermatologist-approved formulas are legit.

Biodance

The new player in the field, Biodance is a South Korean skincare brand formed in 2021, dedicated to “enhancing the skin’s natural radiance.” Similar to Hanacure, they’ve racked up some features in big publications lately, like Vogue and Allure. (Although it’s worth mentioning I came across this New York Times review that wasn’t so positive…)

If you’re anywhere near skincare TikTok, I’m sure you’ve seen their “Real Deep Mask” that you wear to bed and (allegedly) take off in the morning to reveal boosted, glowing skin. The Biodance mask uses non-irritating, safe-for-all-skin-types ingredients.

With that out of the way, let’s get down to business.

Round One: First Impressions & Application (Hanacure)

Hanacure’s process is a little extra—but in the best way possible. You just mix the lifting serum with the gelling solution, shake it up, and apply it with the provided glass brush. Within minutes, your face will start to tighten up to the point where you look like the witch who tried to eat Hansel and Gretel. But don’t worry, just 20 minutes later you wash it off to reveal instantly lifted, firmed, and plump skin. That “Hanacure glow” is real.

Biodance’s mask, on the other hand, is sort of as simple as it gets. It’s a classic sheet mask—just open, place on your face, and go to sleep. For me, this was difficult. I already have enough trouble as it is to get enough Z’s… ruminating over a slippery, gooey film over my face didn’t do the Sandman any favors.

If you ask me, I’ll take the spa-day-esque quality of Hanacure’s mask routine any day of the week. It’s the perfect 20 minutes to pick out a bomb outfit when I’m getting ready or to call my mom. Round one goes to Hanacure.

Round Two: Results (Hanacure)

People call Hanacure “Botox in a bottle,” and I can attest: the results you get from this tiny little glass vial are sort of unbelievable. From just one use, my skin was visibly tighter, my jawline looked more defined, and my fine lines seemed softer. It’s the kind of glow I could usually get from an overpriced Hydrafacial or a 10-step routine of creams, moisturizers, and serums.

After waking up for the first time to remove the Biodance mask, my skin definitely felt plump and hydrated, but the effects were much subtler. My face felt refreshed, but it didn’t look transformed like the way it did with Hanacure. I didn’t even really have much of that dewy look they claim to deliver. I felt better off with a simple face oil in the morning.

I’ll do damn near anything for bouncier skin, but an overnight mask that delivers near-negligible hydration and keeps me from my actual beauty sleep doesn’t seem to be one of them. Hanacure again

Round Three: Long-Term Effects (Hanacure, Again)

After using the Hanacure mask for 30 days, I started to notice that the “Hanacure glow” began to last a little bit longer each time. My face looked overall brighter and tighter during the week, too, not just in the hours after using the mask. Apparently, this long-lasting brightening is due to the “resurfacing” that happens from the high concentration of peptides and botanicals in the mask after it does its tightening and lifting magic. When Drew Barrymore said Hanacure makes you “10 years younger…” she meant that.

The Biodance mask didn’t really seem to have a long-lasting effect. It felt like a brief hydration boost in the morning, but even after using it every other night for three weeks (yes, I’m that dedicated to the process), I didn’t notice much more benefit beyond that.

Round Four: Price (Biodance)

With both of these mask options, we’re in the world of not breaking the bank. Would I like to get a $1000+ spa facial treatment every other day like the A-listers? Yes, of course. But you gotta work with what you got. In the case of Hanacure, at least, you get a whole lotta bang for your buck.

Hanacure’s All-In-One Facial® Set comes in at $118 for 4 masks, bringing the cost to $29.50 per mask. Biodance’s Real Deep Mask sets only cost $19 for 4 masks, bringing the cost to $4.75 a mask. Biodance is undeniably the more budget-friendly option. It’s worth mentioning that Hanacure only recommends using their mask once a week for the first month, and then moving to as needed, whereas, in my experience, Biodance requires a much more frequent application to see results.

And, even then, the results just don’t match up to Hanacure. If you’re asking me, a slightly greater investment in something that’s proven to return celebrity-level results is definitely the way to go.

The Final Verdict: Hanacure Is and Will Always Be My Go-To Skincare Mask.

Sometimes, a trend is just a trend. Hanacure has moved beyond its TikTok virality and into the realm of skincare industry darling, and I’ve seen enough to make me a Hanacure diehard for as long as I care about my appearance. Biodance is fine for a quick hydration boost, but if you’re looking for a mask that actually impacts your skin in a real, lasting way… Hanacure is your answer.

It’s worth mentioning that Hanacure offers free shipping and a 100% money-back guarantee. If you’re on the fence, don’t just take my word for it—you can try them both out for yourself with no risk.

Bottom line: not all TikTok-viral skincare products are equal. The Hanacure hype is real, and once you try it, you’ll probably never look back.

Meet the Hanacure Magic

Hanacure lives up to the hype and then some. I know which TikTok-viral skincare mask I'll be sticking with.
