Meet the Griddle I Never Thought I’d Love — Until I Couldn’t Cook Without It

I tried this internet-favorite, 4.8/5 star griddle from Made In. Here’s how it went from skeptic’s trial to my everyday essential.

I love Made In so much, I convinced them to sponsor this post.

This Kitchen Gamechanger Made Me Enjoy Weeknight Cooking Again.

I wouldn’t say that I like to cook. I’d say I tolerate it. I’m always looking for the next piece of home cookware that will just make everything a little easier for me during the busy weeks. I’ve heard all the marketing promises, but I’ve yet to find a solid solution.

So when I kept hearing about this double burner, Carbon Steel Griddle from Made In that apparently turns your stovetop into a one-stop-shop for anything you can think of… my interest was piqued. The thing is, I’ve been burned (sometimes literally) by overpromised cookware before. And the griddle is no flippant purchase at $169.

As you can see, I bought one anyway. But let me not get ahead of myself.

But my friends who like to cook (how are there so many? Is there something wrong with me?) kept swearing by Made In and insisted that I try this griddle for my weeknight meals. I gave it a shot, half expecting to be disappointed again. The result?

I’ve been cooking on this griddle almost every day since. Let me explain.

First, Some Background on This Michelin-Star Chef-Favorite Cookware Brand

After doing some research, it’s not hard to understand why this griddle is such an internet favorite. Made In has been making timeless and innovative cookware for 2,000+ restaurants and countless more home cooks since 2017

In just a few years, they’ve become one of the most sought-after brands on the market, thanks to a unique blend of providing the best-quality products with sleek, minimalist designs at a fraction of the price of competitors. They’ve been featured in Forbes, Architectural Digest, Esquire, and GQ, and have even racked up 140,000+ reviews for 4.9 out of 5 stars

Made In kind of went viral with their 5-ply, cladded Stainless Steel line… and they’re at it again with this Carbon Steel Griddle. (I mean, look how gorgeous this thing is.) Food Network said, “[it’s] a must-have for any home cook, but especially for one that cooks for a crowd.” With so much cooking space unlocked on the stove (on one, easy-to-clean surface), it’s not hard to understand why. Some worthwhile info I found on their site:

  • Made in Sweden
  • Superior Heat Control Up to 1200°F
  • Naturally Non-Stick
  • Compatible with Gas, Electric, and Induction Cooktops
  • Lifetime Warranty

But these aren’t the only reasons why this griddle is so game-changing.

It Frees Up Way More Than Just Counter Space

My kitchen is not exactly sprawling. If you’re anything like me, every square inch matters — and I’ll admit, I was wary of bringing in another “single-use” pan that would take up precious space. But this griddle surprised me. Instead of cluttering my kitchen, it’s quietly replaced half the cookware I used to juggle.

First off, the surface area is massive and spans two burners, which means I don’t need to use multiple pans to cook a full meal. Breakfast for the whole family used to mean a choreography of skillets, trays, and pans. Burger night? Don’t even get me started on the cleanup after that. Now, it’s one griddle, one surface, and done. It’s a masterclass in efficiency, night in and night out—turning kitchen chaos into flow.

Beyond that, it stores like a dream. Thanks to its sleek, low-profile design, it slips neatly into my cabinet or even stands upright next to my cutting boards. No awkward handles sticking out, no bulky lids to fuss with. For something so sturdy, it’s shockingly easy to tuck away — but truthfully, it rarely makes it to storage because I’m using it nearly every day.

It’s Built Like a Tank, But It Cooks Like a Beauty

Made In’s Griddle is made with a naturally non-stick, carbon steel build that can withstand basically anything you throw at it (even fire up to 1,200°F). It heats up fast, holds serious temperature, and can cook blistered, crusty steaks to perfection just as well as it can handle a delicate, fluffy pancake. (We also love Made In’s Grill Press for smashburgers. You can add it for just $30 more.)

You can even throw this griddle over an open flame at the summer cookout (something my husband is now obsessed with). We’ve taken it camping, brought it to potlucks… even made s’mores with it in the backyard. And the results simply speak for themselves. I guess there’s a reason 100+ Michelin-starred restaurants use Made In.

What’s more than that, the cleanup is laughably easy. A quick wipe, a little oil, and boom. No scrubbing, no soaking overnight… just smooth, seasoned metal that literally gets better every time you use it.

If You’re Thinking About This Griddle, Here’s My Honest Take: Get It.

I was right there with you, scrolling through glowing reviews and wondering if this was just another flash-in-the-pan (griddle?) fad. But this griddle delivers — and then some. It’s the workhorse my kitchen never knew it needed, but now absolutely can’t live without.

The Griddle itself costs $169, but you can add the Grill Press for a total cost of $238 $199 or add the Grill Press and a stainless steel lid for $327 $279. I haven’t tried the lid, but the Grill Press has been money for sears, smashes, and even browning. It’s worth mentioning that Made In offers free shipping on orders over $49 and accepts returns or exchanges for up to 45 days, so there’s no risk in giving it a go.

Made In’s Griddle 100% lives up to the hype and then some. Try it for yourself. If you’re like me, your only regret will be not getting one sooner.

Durable, versatile, and ready to become your everyday go-to. I can't recommend this beauty from Made In enough.
