New Scents, Sooo Many Choices
The process of discovering a new scent can be intimidating. In-person shopping has the advantage of providing you with a large selection of samples, but it also puts you at risk of being rushed into a purchase. And if you shop online, you might get lost in romanticized descriptions, Reddit reviews, and articles (hello!) before making a final, blind decision.
When I think of scents, I think of love. My adolescent obsession, in contrast to the majority of people who buy high-fashion magazines to keep up with the latest fashions, was with the glamorous perfume advertisements. I loved tearing open scratch-and-sniff sample pads at the cosmetic counter to smell the newest scents on offer there.

Each Snif fragrance is created by a team of experts, tested by an independent Scent Board, and designed to last throughout the day. Preservatives, phthalates, parabens, and synthetic dyes are not used in the scents. They’re also gender-neutral.

The Core Scents
When a variety box containing the brand’s newest additions showed up at my door, I had a complete fan-out moment, similar to when holiday gifts arrive in the mail. Each scent is enticing and playful without being overpowering, and it comes in a handy (and stylish) bottle. A must-have for any lover of fine scents. Poppy Issues is a little too musky for my taste, but it smelled great on my father, who loves colognes with saffron, amber woods, and musk notes.
The retro swim club at the South Beach hotel serves as the inspiration for this scent. This fragrance from Miami captures the vibrant social scene there with notes of jasmine, citrus, and sun-tanned leather. When the Strawberry Moon rises, there’s no better time to enjoy the fruits of your labor.
My favorite scent is Sweet Ash because it is so sweet and reminiscent of patchouli and white moss that I look for in a new scent.
Honorable Mention was my favorite of the three, even though they all drew my attention for different reasons. The new scent has a warm and fresh vibe to it, evoking memories of a breezy day at the beach. Beautiful notes of peach, jasmine tea, and orange blossom made me long for the warmth of the summer months to come. One of my childhood dreams was to wear a scent that was so distinctive that it would turn heads wherever I go.
A toasted scent that knows how to say something without saying anything at all. Tobacco and spice notes are bolstered by rose absolute and iris absolute, and a heavy dose of Madagascar vanilla rounds out the fragrance. Someone we know would be enthralled by this.
Smells juicy and a little bit smoky at the same time. Leather and cashmere wood create a velvety finish with the addition of citrus fruits such as clementine and orange. Bottled charisma.
Smells warm and mysterious, but not overpowering. Amber and sandalwood blend beautifully with black tea and dark resins to create a sultry fragrance. Begin your conversation by sitting down at the bar and ordering a bourbon.
Our most popular scent by a wide margin. A light, woodsy scent is what we’re looking for, and this is just the right amount of subtlety. An everyday scent that can be worn during the day or at night.
The group’s most outgoing member is this mellow, woodsy scent. It’s floral and woodsy at the same time. Keeps the two of them close without overwhelming their senses.
